About this campground
The campsite is approx. 1.5 km east of Valldal centre, through the tunnel in Syltefjellet. The site is almost invisible, in a forest between crags and farmland. The place is spacious and very idyllic, close to the fjord. It can also be very suitable as a base if you wish to see yourself around a day's journey away, e.g. Here we can mention various places such as: Runde - Ålesund - Molde - Atlanterhavsvegen - Kristiansund - Sunndalsøra - Åndalsnes - Geiranger. There are currently around 60 caravans on the campsite. During the tourist season, we accept: Motorhomes - Caravans - Tents and the like, as much as we have room for.

The garden has been in the same family as far back as there is anything in the church books, i.e. Eighteen until the early 17th century. A few generations ago, yachts were built here, which transported trade goods back and forth to Bergen and Trondheim. Currently, it is one of the only beach gardens in the Storfjord that is still in operation.
