The distance to the center with groceries, souvenir shops, eateries, tourist information and other services, as well as public transport, is approx. 200 metres. Popular activities in the area are fjord tours and hiking. Geiranger Fjordservice, see www.geirangerfjord.no, offers guided tours of the fjord. The campsite is a good starting point for hiking. There are marked paths and a separate map of these. The famous Flydalsjuvet viewpoint is about 4 km from the campsite. The mountain peak Dalsnibba (1500 m) is 22 km away, and can be reached via a private toll road. Geiranger is an excellent base for day trips in an exciting and varied region. Geiranger is a jewel in the western Norwegian fjord landscape, and tourists come here to experience the unique nature with mountains, fjords and waterfalls. At the same time as the center of the village is teeming with people, you can walk in silence and tranquility in the surroundings.
