About this campground
Syndinstøga is located on Syndin in Vestre Slidre in an idyllic støl and cabin area a few kilometers up the hill west of Ryfoss in Vang i Valdres. The area has long traditions of stilt farming, and is rich in varied nature, water, mountains and hiking trails. Ola and Minda Horge built a new støl in 1963. They then had a small kiosk and sold sour cream porridge and waffles, served in the living room. In 1972, they added on to a shop. From -63 they also operated scooter transport and cabin service. Back then, they had to drive all the goods to the store by scooter.

Around the year 2000, Randi and Andres took over the operation, built a new building and continued in the same way as Ola and Minda, but with a larger shop and café. In the summer of 2018, the current owners took over the place, and after extensive renewal in recent years, Syndinstøga is better equipped than ever before to serve the area's visitors and cabin dwellers. Syndinstøga today has a shop, restaurant, function rooms, pub and accommodation. With a pleasant host and a good chef, the place can offer short-distance food, good service and a pleasant time over a cup of coffee both outside and inside. Sindinstøga gives you everything from a beautiful mountain 17 May experience to courses in wine tasting. The newly renovated mountain shop gives you the opportunity to purchase both food and other practical products in a simple way when you are in the area. Syndinstøga is the hub of the area, and as a service center you can get propane here, order firewood, have goods delivered and order various other janitorial services. Both owners and operators have plans for further development of both offers, services and capacity, so that the place can best serve visitors and residents in the area in the years to come.
