About this campground
Nestled in the quiet hamlet of Walton, Ontario, our Farm is a charming 6-acre hobby farm that’s anything but useless. This peaceful slice of countryside is home to a lively mix of friendly animals—from curious alpacas to colorful peacocks, and even Ruby the treat-loving donkey. Guests will find plenty of space to park, with electric car hookups and generator access available. Outdoor fun is always on the agenda, with a campfire area, soccer net, basketball, and a variety of games. Mornings can start with fresh eggs from the barn and hand-picked fruit straight from the garden. Just across the road, a serene pond offers kayaking, fishing, or a quiet stroll.

The area is rich in local attractions like the Trans Canada Motocross track, Thrashers in Blyth, Cowbell Brewery, scenic beaches, wineries, cozy small-town shops, and live theatre. Surrounded by hiking trails and nature, Smith’s Useless Farm is a little piece of heaven—peaceful and welcoming, unless Ruby the donkey has something to say about it.
