To take full advantage of all these activities, consider a stay at Camping Aux Portes du Sauveterre, an establishment located in an exceptional environment overlooking the gorges. This friendly Lozerian campsite is located in the small village of Saint-Rome-de-Dolan, 850 meters above sea level, between Les Vignes and Massegros Causses Gorges (every two to 10 minutes by car). The pitches are bounded by hedges for more privacy and shade, and the green setting offers a total immersion in nature.

This location makes it an excellent starting point for all kinds of active excursions. Hiking trails depart from the village, and you will find many others on the plateau of the Aubrac (about 45 minutes by car). The Tarn is 10 minutes by car for swimming, fishing and water sports. Between two adventures, you will be able to plan a quiet days and coffee maker to visit caves, and wildlife parks, and you will find plenty of trouble-free, and a nice place to buy some local products in accordance with the villages.
