About this campground
Point Beach State Forest Campground provides a peaceful camping experience on 3,000 acres of forest along Lake Michigan's shores. The family campground features 127 wooded sites, with 70 offering electric hookups for RVs and trailers. While the high sand dunes block direct lake views from the campsites, all sites are within walking distance of over 5 miles of pristine, undeveloped sandy beach. The campground is well-equipped with modern amenities including flush toilets and shower buildings located across from sites 31 and 120. A dump station is available to registered campers near the main campground entrance, along with garbage and recycling facilities.

Firewood is available for purchase at the forest office during the camping season. Beyond the family campground, Point Beach also offers two indoor group cabins that sleep 14-16 people, an outdoor group camp for up to 60 people, and two rustic campsites designated for Ice Age Trail backpackers and kayakers. The property features the historic Rawley Point Lighthouse, 17 miles of hiking trails, and a nature center, making it an ideal destination for both beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts year-round.
