About this campground
Spirit River means Ghost River or "Chepi Sepe" in the language of the Cree and is part of the Peace River country, an area rich in history! The original town settlement moved to follow the railway and split into two of the best communities in the Peace, Rycroft to the East and Spirit River to the West. Spirit River is a thriving community with many activities to enjoy year round. The Chepi Sepe Municipal Campground is located along Highway 49 at the East entrance into town. There are 15 full service campsites & 5 pull through stalls with electricity only. Other amenities include a cook house, showers, information booth, water fill station and a sanitation dump all located in a beautiful park-like setting. During the season you can call 780-864-3998 for any on site assistance. ALL WATER WILL BE SHUT OFF OCTOBER 5, 2025
