Make a stop at Champs Field, near York, a small, friendly site with a communal central firepit great for getting together with other campers and tourers. This campsite is a dog-free site.Champs Field is set on a working beef farm and sells its home-grown meat from the campsite shop…you’re unlikely to manage a BBQ with fewer food miles anywhere else! Not that we’re obsessed with food and eating, but guests at Champs Field often take the pleasant five minute stroll to the fabulous village pub, Ye Old Sun Inn, the proprietors of which won the title of Landlord and Landlady of the year in 2014.
