### CAMPING REGULATIONS **Brightsand Lake Regional Park** Regulations have been developed by the Brightsand Lake Regional Park Authority; there are no exceptions and management reserve the right to enforce these regulations. *Revised 02/12/23* **Camping regulations for all campers** A) Permit holders shall maintain the camping site and camping unit in a condition acceptable to the Park management. B) Only one camping unit (tent, tent-trailer, camper, camper-truck/van, camping trailer or motor home) is allowed per campsite. Mobile homes and bunkhouse type trailers are not allowed. All unit/sizes must be maintained so as not to detract from the park setting. Due to the camp size, length restrictions may apply. All unit/equipment must be contained within the sites. C) One small tent per site for accommodating dependent children and one screened tent for meal purpose may be allowed with prior approval of management and depending on the size of the camp site. No other structures are permitted. D) Visitors to campsites must possess and display a valid park entry permit and visit only between 9:00am and 11:00pm. Campsite information will not be released without written consent. E) Quiet time is from 11:00pm to 8:00am. F) Check in time is 3:00pm, Check out time is 11:00 a.m., please notify the office. If you wish to stay longer, please notify the main office to see what is available. G) If there are any problems with the site you are in, please notify the office. DO NOT move to another campsite because it is empty. H) The Park provides only one picnic table and one fire pit per site. I) Removable ground level decks/landings to a maximum 80 sq. Ft. (7.43m sq) will be allowed upon approval of the park management. Anyone failing to comply with this will be liable for any damages caused. J) Fires are allowed in the park provided fireplaces/barbeques only. Under no circumstances are these fire-pits to be removed from where the park management has situated them. Propane or other non-wood burning portable barbeques are acceptable for cooking purposes. Under no circumstances are fires to be left unattended. DO NOT THROW GARBAGE IN FIRE PITS WHEN LEAVING. This can cause a flare up and a fire. Anyone failing to comply with this will be liable for damages caused. K) The park determines the use of power plants/generators in campgrounds. The park restricts hours of use of power plants/generators 8:00am- 11:00pm. Failure to comply may result in eviction. L) Any combination of tarps may not exceed 400sq. Ft. (37.16 m. sq.). For security reasons tarps cannot obstruct the view for park personal. M) All camping units and vehicles, other than tents and truck campers, must be legally registered and display a current, valid license plate at all times when on Park land. All vehicles must be parked in such a manner as to not obstruct traffic. N) The permit holder, their family and guests shall comply at all times with all permit conditions and regulations. The permit holder is responsible for the conduct and behavior of their family and guests. Everyone must observe all campground regulations and conditions. Excessive noise is not permitted at any time. Please be considerate of others in the park. 0) Pets must be kept leashed and attended to at all time. There are no pets allowed on the main beach. An area is provided for pets by the boat launch. There are to be no pets in the shower house or mini golf area. Do not leave your pet unattended at the campsite, if you are leaving the site, put pet inside camping unit. Pet owners must ensure that pet litter is cleaned up, bagged, and place into garbage containers. Please be considerate of your neighbor. P) Alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the permit holder's camping unit and on their assigned site, in accordance with The Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act as per Section 107(1) per 139 (1). The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in public areas (golf course, beach) etc. Q) Major appliances are restricted to those fixed in the camping unit/contained within the original unit's construction. With the approval of Park Management, refrigerators may be used providing they are secured in a manner that they cannot tip over; doors must be locked, and a monthly fee of $25.00 paid to cover the cost of power. R) Cutting down trees or damaging or vandalizing Park property will not be tolerated. S) Bear proof garbage bins are supplied throughout the park and recreation area. Please use them and help keep the park clean. Liquid grey water or solid waste must be disposed of into a provided sewage system or receptacle. Wildlife is present in the park: keep campsite clean and all food, garbage and attractants securely stored. T) Fireworks are prohibited. No one shall ignite, explode, discharge, or detonate any pyrotechnic device within the park boundaries. U) Complaints are to be filed at the main office. You will be asked to file a signed, written complaint. Management will then deal with the issue. V) Minimum age to reserve a campsite is 19, Occupants of a campsite must be a minimum of 19 years of age, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times W) Any camper leaving behind any material that must be transported to the transfer site for disposal will be charged a fee to cover the cost of disposal. Failure to comply with the above conditions and Park Act and Regulations may result in fines or evictions ### ADDITIONAL CAMPING REGULATIONS FOR GROUP CAMPING A) All campsites must contain a minimum of two units. Each individual camping unit must provide their name, pay the reservation fee as well as the applicable site deposit at the time of reservation. B) Each site will be provided with one fire pit and two picnic table. Additional may be requested at the main office with manager approval. C) Group sites 9,11, are limited to 2 units to be camped at one time, group 10 is limited to 3; group 6 & 7 to managers discretion. ### Pet Regulations Important information for all pet owners visiting the Park Due to the increasing number of pets in the campground, the following rules will apply: **ALL PETS ARE TO BE REGISTERED AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN** 1. Pets must be on leashes at all times. If a pet is found loose, it will be taken to the SPCA in Lloydminster. All costs involved will be the responsibility of the pet owner. 2. You must clean-up after your pet. Please bag it and put the waste in the garbage containers. Fines will be charged to your credit card if any pet owner who leaves their campsite behind with pet waste still present, which must be cleaned up by Park Staff. Please respect our visitors and help keep our park clean and pet waste free. 3. Absolutely no pets allowed on the beach, in the playground and or min-golf areas. There are signs posted: Please obey them. 4. Pets with aggressive behavior are not allowed in the park. 5. Barking dogs will not be tolerated. If your dog is agitated by the squirrels, put them in your camping unit until it is acclimatized to the forest around it. When you leave your campsite, put your dog in your camping unit or into a kennel. Do not leave your dog unattended in your campsite, Children may cut through a campsite and encounter a dog trying to defend its territory. Dogs have a tendency to bark and howl for their owners for their owners when they are left alone in a strange place. If your dog is howling or barking while you are gone, it is not pleasant for your neighbors. Make sure your dog is inside and comfortable, so that everyone can enjoy their stay too. 6. Pet Evictions: If you do not comply with the above stated rules, your pet may be evicted. It will be up to you if you leave with your pet or not---as long as the animal is taken out of the park. No refunds will be issued if you leave for this reason. Pets will be monitored by park staff, but it is difficult for them to spot all potential problems. If you feel that a particular pet is causing problem, please report it to a staff member or at the main office. It will be dealt with confidence. Thank you for your consideration of others and enjoy your stay with us. ### Reservation Policy Reservations may be made by online reservations with Let’s Camp. *PLEASE NOTE: Bookings made during the early-opening staggered booking period for stays of 7 nights or more and 21 nights or more are final and are not eligible for refunds or transfers. Minimum age to reserve a camp site or cabin is 19, proof of age will be required upon arrival at the park. Payment must be made in full, plus a $10.00 non-refundable reservation fee upon booking and MUST be paid by credit card at the time of reservation. Damage deposits are required for Cabin Rentals and all other rental Facilities. This will be charged at the time of reservation. Full payment of balance owing MUST be paid at the time of check in. Anyone making a reservation, and who fails to appear at the park will forfeit the reservation fee and site deposit. No refunds will be allowed for any reservation leaving early. Please see our Park map to view site type and location. ### BRIGHTSAND LAKE REGIONAL PARK CABIN REGULATIONS Cabins comfortably sleep 7. There are two bedrooms; one has a queen size bed, the other has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top. The cabins are furnished with a hide-a-bed, which easily unfolds into a comfortable double bed. The open floor plan connects the living room and kitchen area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, and basic kitchen utensils. Place settings for eight are provided. A deck on the front of the cabin has a propane barbeque. A fire pit and picnic table is located at the rear of each cabin. Each cabin has hot and cold running water, & a bathroom with flush toilet, sink and shower. For those cool summer evenings, there are electric baseboard heaters, as well as a wood burning stove. The designated quiet time is 11:00pm – 8:00am. Guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows & towels. Pets are allowed inside the cabins for an added fee of $50 to be paid upon reservation. This added pet fee is non-refundable and covers the cost of the extra cleaning. No Smoking is allowed in any of the cabins. Any person renting the cabin must be 19 years of age or older. There is no camping units to be parked on the cabin sites. There is a $200.00 damage deposit charged at the time of reservation, refunded after checkout provided nothing is missing or damaged. Cabins will be left in the same condition that they are found at the beginning of occupancy. Check in time is 3:00 P.M. Check out time is 11:00 A.M.
