Not far from Machrie Standing stones or Kings Caves.7 miles from Brodick.DirectionsFrom Brodick:Turn right on leaving the ferry terminal, through Brodick village.After passing the golf club and primary school, the main road bends sharp right, but the B880 (String Road) is directly ahead.Follow the String for about 7 miles, passing the Balmichael Visitor Centre.We are another ¾ of a mile on the left, immediately before the (eponymous) bridge.From Lochranza:Turn right on leaving the ferry.Blackwaterfoot is 16 miles down the west coast of Arran.Follow the road through the village and take the left fork (String Road).We are 1½ miles on, through Shiskine village, immediately after the bridge on the right (hence the name...).
