It is 3.5 miles from the market town Ashbourne, known as the gateway to Dovedale.There are a number of walks in the area as well as a variety of outdoor pursuits, whilenearby Carsington Water offers bird-watching, water sports and walking. Poole’s Cavern and Buxton Country Park have 100 acres of woodland and a Go Apehigh-wire forest adventure.There’s more excitement at Alton Towers theme park, while for a more relaxed day outthere are several National Trust properties nearby.
