It's just a 5 minute walk directly from the site to Longleat House and Longleat Safari Park if you prefer not to take your vehicle, and you can buy tickets at Longleat's back gate or buy in advance online at Longleat. There are several pubs within a 2 mile radius (a lovely walk on a summers evening) and a short drive will bring you to the lively towns of Bath and Bristol. The Roman, Regency and 20th century Bath being a special favourite for visitors touring in Wiltshire. Still famous as a spa, you can take to the waters and literally soak yourself in history. With winding streets and pretty listed buildings, Frome is about 15 minutes from the site. Several fascinating nearby sites of historic interest include Stonehenge, Avebury Neolithic monument and Lacock Abbey. [more-start] Please note that Longleat are not able to accept dogs within the grounds or attractions. There are other beautiful walks also available from the Club side of the road that members can enjoy freely and at their own leisure.
