About this campground
The Thuringian Forest is a popular destination in Germany. It's known for its countless hiking trails, vast forests, and nature reserves. It's also famous for its speciality cuisine and traditional crafts. One of the highlights is the Zeltplatz Hopfenmühle campsite. It offers caravan and motorhome pitches, as well as a tent meadow by the dammed reservoir lake with boat docks. These are equipped with electricity and water connections on natural grass with sanitary facilities, showers, and toilets at the pitch. Holiday bungalows are part of the campsite's landscape, and there are permanent camping sites. The caretaker can be contacted by phone to open the barriers outside of opening hours.

On weekends, young women from the village organise a small cake bazaar with delicacies. Next to the campsite, there's a restaurant and pub serving food and drinks. A few hundred meters from the campsite, you can try Thuringian dumplings. The campsite is idyllically located with a volleyball field right by the water.
