Set amongst mature native trees and pristine rolling Dorset countryside, Wood Farm is the perfect caravan and camping park to get away from it all relax and take in the magnificent rural scenery. With it's stunning fishing lake, wide open spaces and indoor swimming pool to enjoy... it has something for everyone. All of our touring and motor caravan pitches have individual all-weather hardstandings, electric hook-ups and provision for awnings. We also have some premium pitches that have their own individual water hook-up and grey waste drainage points. We are unable to accomodate motorhomes of 8m or larger.The grass tent field is level, terraced, situated in a sheltered location and offers electric hook-ups. All weather pitchs for tents up to 6 x 6m.Standard touring pitch Hardstanding pitch for caravans/motorvans with 10 amp electric hook up. We are unable to accomodate motorhomes of 8m or larger.Premium touring pitch Hardstanding pitch for caravans/motorvans with 10 amp electric hook up, individual water tap and grey waste drainage, lovely views over the valley. We are unable to accomodate motorhomes of 8m or larger.Standard tent pitch All weather pitch for tents up to 6 x 6m with 10 amp electric hook up.Awnings and Extra TentsAlmost all our touring pitches have provision for side awnings, although awning annexes can not always be accommodated. Gazebos are not permitted - unless instead of an awning. Pup tents erected beside the pitch for extra sleeping can only be 1 or 2 man ridge/dome tents - larger tents are not permitted.Television ReceptionWood Farm is now in a digital reception area. We do not have any analogue reception. You will need a directional aerial to pick up the signal. Directional aerials are available for free hire (deposit required)Special Club Pitch FeesMembers of the Caravan Club, The Camping & Caravanning Club and The Best Of British receive a reduction of £1.00 on the standard nightly pitch fees. (Valid card must be shown on arrival)Advance BookingsA non-refundable deposit of £50 per pitch is required. A minimum of five nights is accepted in the high season. The period of your stay is from 12 noon on the day of arrival to 12 noon on the day of departure.AnimalsMust be kept on a lead at all times and exercised in the Dog Walk or off the Park. Prior permission is required to bring any other animal onto the Park. Cats are not allowed to roam freely.Seasonal PitchesWe have a small number of seasonal pitches. Prices for a seasonal pitch for the 2014 season are £2060. The price includes a Standard Touring Pitch with electricity and allows the van to stay on the pitch from 27th March until 2nd November 2014. Winter storage is also offered to our seasonal pitch customersNo Bicycles etc.Our park is not suitable for cycling etc due to our sloping terrain. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, scooters and kites are not permitted to be used on any part of the park. (Bicycles stored on bike carriers etc to be used off the park are allowed)Hillside CampingCamping as it used to be!A camper in the tent fieldWe are a five star park although we understand that some of you would prefer to camp without all the 'mod cons' whilst still being able to enjoy our beautiful park and facilities.We have a small number of camping pitches in our new camping area.There are however a few things that we would like you to consider before making a booking.As the name suggests our Hillside camping area is set on the side of a hill with plenty of flat areas to pitch your tent.The area is located on the boundary of Wood Farm with access through a coppiceThere is a track leading through this coppice however access to this track is over grassYou can park next to your tent, although this would be weather dependent due to the nature of the terrain, you may have to park in a separate area and transport your belongingsThe nearest toilet block is approximately 100 meters from the entrance of Hillside camping fieldEnjoy the dark and see the stars N.B, There is no lighting in this area so please bring a torch!The ground is uneven and will get muddy when it rains so please bring suitable footwear.There is no electric hook up and you will pitch directly onto grass.There are no designated pitches, however please consider other campers when pitching and allow at least 6m between units.Sorry - No campfires.Superb On-Park FacilitiesThe park is in the care of our dedicated team whose sole aim is to provide the ideal family holiday. We pride ourselves on our well kept grounds, excellent recreational facilities and super clean toilet and shower blocks.Offshore PoolOur superb Indoor Swimming Pool (17m x 9m) is maintained at a comfortable 30'C.There is an entrance charge of £2.50 per person per swim (under 5yrs free). Children under 15yrs must be accompanied by an adult swimmer (17yrs or over) in the pool. Discount tickets can be purchased - please ask at reception for details.The Offshore CaféThe offshore café is fully licensed.The Tennis CourtOur Tennis Court has a super all weather surface so young and old can practice their shots. £5.00 per hour, rackets and balls on hire from reception.DraughtsTax your mind with a game of outdoor draughts.The Park Shop and ReceptionOur shop is open daily for newspapers, fresh bread and milk plus a wide range of groceries, camping accessories, toys, Calor Gas and Camping Gaz. We also sell wines, beers and spirits and provide an ice-pack hire service.Tourist Information RoomFind out where to go and what to do in our information room.Toilets, Showers & LaundriesOur heated facilities are equipped with hairdryers, razor points, individual rooms, disabled facilities, chemical emptying points, washing up sinks, washing machines, tumble driers and ironing boards.Wi-FiBring your own laptop, smartphone or tablet - Wi fi access is available via Club Wi-Fi.The Play AreaThe Children's Play Field is set away from Park roads, is dog free and has plenty of space for ball games or having fun on the play equipment which is set on safety surfacing.Coarse FishingThe play area at Wood FarmOur fishing ponds are situated on the edge of the Park and are a great opportunity for the first time angler to give fishing a try. Carp, Rudd, Roach, Tench and Perch can all be caught £3.00 per day, £5 Shared day, £2.50 Junior (under 12) or £15.00 per week.A current rod licence is required.The 'Lighthouse' Games RoomThe indoor games room has soft play equipment, coin operated pool tables and table football, table tennis, and television for all the family.Two Dog WalksWe have two dog walking areas to keep our four legged friends happy. We supply bags and bins to help keep the areas clean and tidy.
