About this campground
Our Weidhüsli is located behind us in the Engstlig valley in the Bäuert Gilbach in Adelboden at 1500 m.a.s.l. The Gilbach is also called by the locals "The valley of the howling winds" and pays tribute to its nickname when the hair dryer blows through the fir trees in the autumn. The Gilbachtäli is small, located just outside Adelboden and offers a wonderful view of the Fitzer, the home mountain of the Gilbacher. A Weidhaus is like an alpine hut, but was used as a "middle station" before you went to the alp with the Veh. Long in the spring and autumn there were cattle in the stable. For some years this is inhabited in the summer by the Zottelgeissen.
