About this campground

Paradise Campground is a primitive, dispersed camping area situated along Mann Creek in the Hitt Mountains region of Payette National Forest. The campground features 2-3 campsites positioned between the road and the creek in a forested valley with open hillsides above. Located just a couple hundred yards from Justrite Campground, Paradise offers a more secluded camping experience with an older vault toilet and a hand-pump equipped well for water (though water should be treated or filtered before use). The area is ideal for campers seeking a rustic experience without fees or reservations.

The surrounding area provides excellent habitat for deer, elk, and black bear, making it popular with wildlife watchers and photographers. Recreational opportunities include fishing in Mann Creek and nearby Mann Creek Reservoir (about 15 miles away), hiking, hunting, and exploring the extensive network of backcountry roads and trails throughout the Hitt Mountains. The area is particularly well-suited for mountain biking, with miles of forest roads and trails to explore. Access is via Highway 95 north from Weiser, then County Road and Forest Road 009, about 22.5 miles total from Weiser.
