Godman Campground is located in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington within the Umatilla National Forest, serving as a northern gateway to this rugged mountain region. Situated just off Forest Service Road 40, the campground offers several recreation opportunities including hunting, fishing, bicycling, and hiking. The location provides excellent views and sunsets across the surrounding landscape. The nearby Godman Trailhead provides direct access to West Butte Trail #3138, which enters the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. This wilderness area features rugged terrain and backcountry hiking opportunities. The campground location makes it a convenient base camp for wilderness exploration and horse camping. Wilderness restrictions apply to the trail system, with all motorized and mechanized equipment prohibited, including mountain bikes. Weed-free feed is required for stock animals.
