Beautiful area, my all time favourite, however the above photo Echidna Chasm ( no camping allowed) is a long way from the Walardi campground (about 30km, >1/2 hr drive)
Campsites were a mix of shady and open. We booked a genie site but didnt hear any. Clean drop toilets and non-potable water (boil if drinking). It was a rough 2hr drive and 53kms from hwy to camp....
Overall, this campsite offers a stunning landscape that many campers find breathtaking, making it a favorite for those who appreciate nature. However, access roads are rough and bumpy, and the campsite is quite a distance from the highway, which may deter some visitors. While the facilities are basic with non-potable water, the cleanliness of the drop toilets is a positive aspect. Campers should be prepared for a more rugged experience, especially if they plan to explore nearby attractions.
