Le Col Vert

Selected because of its direct access to the beautiful lac de Léon and its lovely sandy beach. A large family-run site in the Landes forest which stretches along the banks of the lake with pretty shrubs and flowering plants that give it a very rural feel. It has a lively atmosphere with plenty of organised entertainment suitable for all the family. The attractive reception area full of flowers and the huge carpark at the entrance create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Not only is there a great cycle track into the town, there is also a daily free bus service in July and August to the beach 6km away. The owners of the site are justifiably proud of their eco credentials and have both Clef Verte and Ecolabel awards. As the site is so long and thin, getting around by bike is highly recommended.
