It is possible to bring your own horse or pony to the riding school. The province of Drenthe has the largest bridle path network in the Netherlands. Here you will find no less than 800 kilometres of bridle paths. There are various connections to these routes from the riding school. Nature lovers will also find plenty to do in the vicinity of the holiday park. Vakantieoord de Bronzen Emmer is located between 3 beautiful nature reserves, the Mepperdennen, the Geeserstroom area and the Mantingerzand. Here you will see sand drifts where Scottish Highlanders graze, streams and juniper bushes. Furthermore, Drenthe is of course known for its megalithic tombs, moors with sheep herds and of course old settlements such as Meppen, Gees and Oud Aalden. There are hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths and forests, but larger cities such as Emmen and Assen are also within easy reach. Visit these cities for a wonderful day of shopping. Also be sure to visit Dierenpark Emmen, known for its impressive butterfly garden. For children, a visit to the Verkeerspark in Assen is highly recommended.
