About this campground
Once you get down the 16km of corrugated dirt road from the Dargo Road, you arrive at the camping ground beside the Mitchell River. There is a large cleared area, enough room for hundreds of campers. There are several composting toilets on site. The camping area is maintained by the Parks dept and they keep the camping areas mowed and trimmed. The River can be used for water activities. There are walking tracks into the National Park. Morning and evening if it's not too busy, kangaroos will come to the camping area to feed on the grass. It really is one of the most ideallic places to enjoy a day or a week and relax.
