Umatilla Forks Campground occupies a prime location between the North and South Forks of the Umatilla River in the Blue Mountains of northeastern Oregon. At 2,400 feet elevation, this small 13-site campground provides a peaceful riparian setting with an ample mix of conifers and deciduous trees creating natural privacy between sites. The heavy vegetation and riverside location give campers a wilderness atmosphere while remaining accessible via Forest Service Road 32. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness, which lies immediately adjacent.

Both the North and South Forks of the Umatilla River offer catch-and-release fishing opportunities, while several wilderness trails including the North Fork Umatilla River Trail, Lick Creek Trail, Nine Mile Ridge Trail, Buck Creek Trail, and Buck Mountain Trail are easily accessible from the campground. The scenic setting with views of Graves Butte and the lower North Fork Umatilla Wilderness makes this a popular destination from early spring through late fall.
