Trout Farm Campground offers a relaxing getaway for families and fishing enthusiasts in the Malheur National Forest. The campground's main attraction is its stocked fishing pond, complete with a barrier-free path and accessible fishing pier, making it ideal for anglers of all abilities. A newly renovated covered picnic shelter provides a gathering space for groups. The campground is situated near the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness, providing a great base for exploring the surrounding area. In addition to pond fishing, visitors can enjoy stream fishing, picnicking, and hunting opportunities. The site is set in a forested environment approximately 13 miles from Prairie City.

During warmer months when the campground is open, drinking water is available from a hand pump. Visitors should be aware that blue-green algae blooms can occur in warmer weather. The campground operates on a 14-day stay limit and requires all visitors to pack out their trash.
