About this campground

Trench Farm Fisheries have now been open for over 25 years and have built a reputation by providing excellent quality fishing all year round. There are 3 main pools and a nature reserve. In 2009 we were pleased to be able to offer a limited number of places for campers and caravans to stay over! If you love to fish or maybe just prefer to chill out we believe we have the perfect base from which to explore this lovely countryside and it's surrounding areas.Caravan and CampingFor some years now numerous people have asked if they could stay over to fish as they had fallen in love with the peace and tranquility of Trench and it's surrounding areas.Spring 2009 we were pleased to announce the availability of caravan and camping facilities here at Trench Farm so allowing our guests the opportunity of staying over. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead while on the site.FishingFishing in 3 pools extensively stocked with many double figure ( Mirror and Common Carp ) Crucian carp, Rudd and Roach. Tench (up to 81/2 lb)An adult must accompany children under the age of 16. Sorry Trench Farm Fisheries do not allow night fishing or the use of keepnets, barbless hooks only to be used.Country WalksTrench Farm fisheries has the benefit of being set in 180 acres of farm & woodland, so for those of you who love wildlife and long walks in the countryside maps of Trench are now available for our guests. Wildlife on the farm is abundant due to the way we have farmed over the past years ie by leaving our hedge rows to grow wherever possible and not being too clinical, this has created an ideal habitat for many species of bird, insects, butterflies etc therefore do not be surprised when walking by the fishing pools you see a bright flash of blue/green as a Kingfisher darts by. Barn, Tawny & Little owls are often heard at night, if you are lucky you may even see a Barn Owl fluttering over the paddock searching for prey in the early evening. Other animals on the farm include Badgers, Foxes, Hares, Water voles & many more.
