Transformation Hills Campground

From I-80 take exit 261 (hwy 306) towards Beowawe/Cresent Valley. Drive 12 miles, turn right on Transfer Site road. Drive 3 miles, turn right at the metal fence post that has a number six painted on a concrete block at it's base. Follow the driveway down and back up a gradual slope. You will see an area to park alongside a picnic bench next to a pile of rocks. There are some level, rock free spots to pitch a tent just a short walk up the shallow ravine from the pile of rocks. Even though there is a campfire ring, my neighbors have requested that I not permit campfires unless I am there on the property.
