Top of the Falls Farm Driveway

We are happy to lend you a couple of bikes to explore the farm or if you have your own bikes there are cycling tracks a short drive away. Our facilities include a games room with couches, kitchen & bar area + shared bathroom with toilet and shower. If you want to get away from it all and you have a tent we also have a couple of private campsites on the farm (accessible by foot) suitable for tents which are next to the river which is quiet and intimate and makes you feel like the rest of the world doesn't exist. These are basic campsites with a potable water stream & separate freshwater stream for swimming, fire pit, access to kayaks (POA) and portaloo/long drop for .... Our driveway is gravel and well maintained with a large turnaround area suitable for large camper vans & buses. As well as the farm we run a mobile adventure business so there may also be opportunities to help feed out hay to the cows, feed the free-range chickens, conservation tree planting or to do some of our adventure activities eg Claybird Shooting or Archery. (POA). Hunua Village is only 1 km away,where you can purchase locally grown produce, fuel + groceries. There is also a liquor store + John Hill Winery and the stunning Hunua Falls Reserve within a 5-minute drive. Clevedon Markets on a Sunday with a variety of local produce & Clevedon Strawberries & Ice Creams 15 minutes drive and the Miranda Hot Springs 30 minute drive. IMPORTANT NOTES: Children: As we have multiple water hazards our site is not suitable for children under 5. Charges: $45 per camper or tent for 2 people, any additional people will incur a $10 per head fee. Cabin Accommodation: If you want to upgrade we also have Airbnb cabin rooms available for an additional $40 per night (for 2 people). Check-In Time: Please check-in after 2.00 pm and before 9.00 pm. Bookings: This is a private site and we only have availability for 1 or 2 campers per night so please book before coming to avoid disappointment. Internet: We have limited broadband so internet only available to campers to check emails ie not to use for uploading or downloading large files or watching net flix, skyping etc... Rubbish: Please do not dump rubbish at our site as we only have a weekly rubbish collection. If you do have a large amount of rubbish to dispose of please ask to purchase a council rubbish bag & you can leave it at the beginning of Wattie Road ready for collection on Friday. Laundry: If you have laundry we can put it through our washing machine for you $10 per load (includes laundry powder). To dry your washing you can hang it out on our clothesline or if you would like to have it dried an additional charge of $5 per 1/2 hour would apply to use the dryer.
