Tollbridge Campground is a small, rustic campground situated at the confluence of Desolation Creek and the North Fork John Day River in the Umatilla National Forest. With only 5 campsites, this lightly-used campground provides a quiet retreat for visitors seeking solitude in northeastern Oregon's scenic river valleys. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire pit, and the campground features an accessible vault toilet. A geological interpretive sign educates visitors about the area's unique formations. The campground is located along the North Fork John Day Wild and Scenic River corridor, offering excellent opportunities for fishing, swimming, and non-motorized boating.

In spring and fall, visitors can observe spawning steelhead and chinook salmon in the river. The surrounding forests and mountains provide habitat for deer, elk, black bear, and other wildlife, making the area popular for hunting and wildlife photography. Visitors should come prepared as there is no potable water available at the campground, though the river and Desolation Creek flow adjacent to the sites. Pack out all garbage as there is no trash service. The campground is accessible via a short drive on Forest Service Roads 55 and 10 from Highway 395, about 16 miles south of Ukiah.
