A minimum £12 deposit is requested to secure a hook-up pitchPayphoneDogs welcome - must be on leads at all times in the campsiteAs we are a fairly small campsite and do not have marked out pitches it can be difficult to reserve areas and tent pitches are, therefore, on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are only taken for stays of 4 nights or more ( deposit of £25, non-refundable). July and August are very busy months and, if possible, it is advisable to arrive by lunchtime/early afternoon in order to secure a pitch. 7.45pm is the latest arrival time except by prior arrangement.Tobermory Campsite is the closest campsite to 'Balamory' - very important for our younger campers! (Balamory is the children's TV programme filmed in and around Tobermory). We also have 2 'Midge Magnet' machines in operation. We are not guaranteeing midge-free camping (bring your repellent!) but they do catch a huge number of midges.Mobile phone reception is patchy at the campsite. However, there is a good signal in Tobermory and Vodaphone probably has the best coverage on the island. We are members of the Mull Eco Charter and strongly encourage recycling, please could all campers help us to do this by sorting their rubbish into plastic, glass, tin and paper and placing in the bins provided. Thank you.Camper Vans/ Touring caravansWe are developing a new camper van area which is at present all gravel hard-standing.Large motorhomes and caravans are advised to come in our new entrance ( coming from Tobermory go past the campsite sign and turn in at the next entry on your left) park up and walk around to the reception which is over the wooden bridge and turn left.CaravansWe are situated only 1½ miles from Tobermory on the road to Dervaig. Which means we are minutes from Tobermory harbour front in one direction and the picturesque Mishnish Lochs in the other, one of the hunting grounds of the magnificent Sea Eagles. A great location for bird watching, fishing, walking and shopping! Also, of course, very convenient for families visiting the scene of the childrens television programme ‘Balamory’. Tobermory has pubs, restaurants, a Co-op supermarket, bakery, Clydesdale Bank and even an award winning fish & chip van! It is also a good starting point for boat trips and wildlife excursions. An ice cream van calls at the site, selling freshly baked bread, eggs, milk, confectionery etc and (of course!) ice creams. Please see gallery for picture. A self- service launderette is available for public use in the new Harbour Association building in Tobermory. Please be aware that the Caravan site is served by a private spring and you will need to bring bottled water for drinking. This can be purchased at the Co-op supermarket in Tobermory and there is also a standpipe and sink on the campsite which has filtered, UV treated water available at no charge.
