Thorofare Cabin — Yellowstone National Park

Managed by the National Park Service, this backcountry cabin sits within Yellowstone National Park's remote interior, accessible only by hiking trail. The structure provides basic shelter for overnight stays in the park's wilderness areas, requiring advance reservations through the National Recreation Reservation Service. Campers must pack in all supplies and follow Leave No Trace principles, as no amenities or services are available on-site. The location offers access to Yellowstone's backcountry trail system, with [Heart Lake Cabin — Yellowstone National Park](https://thedyrt.com/camping/montana/heart-lake-cabin) and other wilderness accommodations positioned throughout the park's interior. Book well ahead during peak summer months, as backcountry permits fill quickly.
