Care must be taken when coming over the bridge with a Touring Caravan or Motorhome.All 25 Touring Pitches have electric hook up and there is space for your tourer, awning and one car; the field is grass and there is no hard standing. Pup tents are not allowed. Two bedroom Specially Adapted Caravans for disabled guests are available and suitable for wheelchair users with assistance. Depending on manufacturer, and availability, we offer double or single bed options in the main bedroom.For maximum occupancy there is a convertible bed in the lounge, however this is not recommended for use by our disabled customers.On arrivalOn arrival you will be given your keys and welcome pack containing park map and entertainment guide. Our reception staff will be able to assist with a local tourist board telephone number for disabled access in the local area.Sunnysands venues include disabled access to the facilities and where it remains difficult we will endeavor to undertake all that is reasonable to increase accessibility in a safe and secure environment. We have picked out a few to give you an idea.Family AttractionsGreat Little Trains of WalesThe Great Little Trains of Wales are a very special way of seeing some of the best scenery in Wales.MountainsWe are within a huskies ride of the majestic Snowdon and Cadair Mountain rangesOutdoor ActivitiesThere are some great Walking Trails, Cycling Routes and Pony Trekking within the vicinity of Barmouth and Sunnysands Caravan ParkDirectionsThe Sunnysands Group of Caravan Parks are located off the Barmouth to Harlech road (A496), 4 miles from Barmouth and 6 miles from Harlech.Travelling in the direction of Harlech from Barmouth, Sunnysands is clearly signposted, the turning is on the left hand side; simply follow the lane over the bridge directly to the Park.Our sister parks Moelfre View and Tyddyn Goronwy are situated next left turn off the A496 heading towards Harlech by the Talybont train station, go over the railway bridge and they are on the left, they are both well signpostedThe Sunnysands Group of Caravan Parks are readily accessible from all parts of the country by train and bus.For more travel information and bus or train times visit :-Arriva Trains Wales Traveline CymruFor those travelling by train the nearest mainline railway station is Talybont, it has no facilities, if using this station it is a 30 min walk to Sunnysands or a few minutes to our other 2 parks. Barmouth station is better suited for customers of Sunnysands as you can easily get a Bus or Taxi to Sunnysands from there. The local bus stop is at the entrance to Sunnysands Caravan Park.During the six week school summer holidays an onsite hourly bus service operates between Barmouth and our group of ParksApproximately two miles North of Barmouth turn left off the A496 you will see Sunnysands main entrance identified by our sign.
