Sunny Lyn Holiday Park

This is the perfect place to relax, unwind and de-stress listening to the West Lyn River cascade over the rocks as it flows alongside the Park. If you prefer a little more action there are plenty of beautiful walks and many other attractions in the area.The Park offers a small level camping field with some riverside pitches. A few of the camping pitches are available with electric and TV hook-ups.Touring PitchesThe Touring pitches are on the field [part hard standing] and the Motor Home pitches are all hard standing. All of the Touring and Motor Home pitches have electric and TV hook-ups. The heated toilet blocks have shaver points, hairdryers and free hot showers.Caravan Holiday HomesOur Holiday Homes all have one double bedroom, one twin room and a sofa bed in the lounge and will sleep from two to six people. All are fully self-contained and have a parking bay for one vehicle adjacent to the Holiday Home.Each has a lounge/dining area with a gas fire and colour TV, a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, full size gas oven and fridge and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.Duvets and pillows are provided. Linen is not provided but is available for hire. Some of our Holiday Homes are pet friendly.Holiday LodgesOur Holiday Lodges all have full central heating and are open all year round including Christmas and New Year. The Holiday Lodges all have a lounge with TV and DVD player, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.The two bedroom Lodges have one double bedroom, one single or twin bedroom and will sleep up to three/four people.Duvets and pillows are provided. Linen is not provided but is available for hire. All of our Holiday Lodges are non-smoking.One extra large two bedroom Holiday Lodge is completely wheelchair accessible and has a fully equipped wet-room in addition to a standard shower room. Sleeps six (sofa bed in lounge).The Gatehouse ApartmentsThe Gatehouse Apartments have full central heating and are open all year round, including Christmas and New Year.Each has a lounge with TV and video/DVD player, dining area, fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bath and shower, one double bedroom, a twin room [Meadow View Apartment can take a thrid bed in the twin room].The Garden Apartment will sleep up to four people and Meadow View Apartment will sleep up to five people.Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are provided in each apartment. There is parking for one vehicle for each apartment. The Garden Apartment is pet friendly.Lynton, Lynmouth and Surrounding AreaIf you enjoy the outside life, this is a walkers paradise. Through the gate and over the bridge takes you on to Exmoor where you can stroll through the woodland, among the heather and gorse and never repeat the same walk. Although, the scenery is so beautiful, you may decide you might like to repeat some walks again and again.Within walking distance there is Lynton, Englands Little Switzerland, and the dramatic Valley of the Rocks which gives fantastic panoramic views out over the Bristol Channel and coastline. Then there is the very picturesque harbour at Lynmouth, a well known surfing venue and the home of the famous Cliff Railway.A short drive away will find you at Woolacombe beach, a regular winner of both Blue Flag and Premier Awards for beach cleanliness and safety, or Saunton Sands where you can observe bird and marine life.There are just too many National Trust Houses, open gradens, places of historic interest and other attractions it would be impossible to mention them all.DirectionsTourer and Motor Home Route: [No steep hills]:From Tiverton [M5, Junction 27] take the A361 Barnstaple road. Turn off at Roundabout on to the A399 Lynton Road to Blackmoor Gate. At Blackmoor Gate turn right on to the A39 to Lynton and Lynmouth. When you reach Barbrook Garage, turn left on to Lynbridge Road [B3234]. At the fork in the road, keep right. Sunny Lyn is approximately 250 meters on the right.An alternative route including steep hills:From Bridgewater (Junction 24) or Taunton (Junction 25) head toward Minehead (A39) and then to Lynton and Lynmouth.
