About Our YurtsOur 5 large and spacious, handcrafted Olive Yurts nestle into the wildflower meadow surrounded by ancient trees and hedges. They are 5.5 m in diameter, 2.8 m high at the crown and are hand crafted from sustainably sourced wood. There is a double opening lockable door. Each has a bbq (bags of charcoal with firelighters can be provided at £5), wooden table and chairs and parasol. The maximum capacity of each Yurt is 4 Adults (or of adult size) or Families of 2 Adults and 4 Children (not of adult size).The interiorThe delightful, well furnished accommodation has a cosy and toasty 7.5 kw wood burning stove, a complimentary basket of wood to get you started (£5 per additional basket), 3 hurricane lamps for lighting, wooden floors, traditional wooden storage boxes, 2 extra thick mattress double bed futons, bedding and bed linen, a soft throw and cushions. A 3rd double bed futon with bedding and bed linen can be booked at £15 per night per Yurt. Alternatively, if you prefer, you are welcome to provide your own extra bedding with no extra cost. Towels can be provided if pre-ordered at £5 per set of shower towel and face flannel.Facilities In the traditional Suffolk weather-boarded and pantile roofed buildings, there is a fully equipped kitchen, with French doors opening out onto a patio. Each Yurt has its own fridge, cupboard, cutlery, crockery and cafetiere. Cloths and tea towels are provided, as is olive oil, salt and pepper and sugar. Adjacent , there is a safari style covered eating area, made from recycled and fsc wood and fab roll up canvas walls, overlooking wildflower meadows and a lovely old oak tree. Next door, there are spacious, environmentally friendly showers and washrooms with hair driers and underfloor heating. There is also access to the laundry, which has a sink, coin-operated washing machine and drier. A campfire with log benches and a couple of seating and table areas near some ancient oak, willow, hazel, field maple and hawthorn trees, provide some great spots to socialise, if you feel like it.DirectionsWe are easy to get to and are well located from London or the Midlands.
