About this campground
This stone cottage rental is located on a peaceful yoga retreat in the Alentejo region of Portugal, and is actually a restored wine cellar converted into a simple monastic living space. Sleeping three glampers, a single on the ground floor, a mezzanine and another bed in the loft space. It is built into the mountainside, with access up stone carved steps, right next to one of the rivers running through the property. There is electricity available inside, and it is a cozy place to sleep after a relaxing day. There are lovely views down the valley, and an outdoor shower in the old grape pressing tank with water solar heated from an ancient Moorish water mine up the valley.

On the olive terrace below is a wooden cabin toilet and wash room. Guests also have access to all the other washing facilities on the property, as well as a fully equipped kitchen in the guest cottage round the corner. Outside, guests are more than welcome to use the shared facilities on the property. These include a natural pool, where guests can take a dip to cool themselves down on a hot summer afternoon. There is also a decking area, where guests can practise the yoga moves they have learnt in the classes led by the hosts. There are plenty of secret walking trails weaving around the property, leading guests through lush forest. There is an on-site restaurant facility serving three delicious vegetarian meals each day, included in the price of guests' stay on retreat.
