About this campground
Selected as this is a very well-maintained Castels site in a rural location 15-minutes from the nearest beaches. You are welcomed by an impressive tree-lined avenue and view of the château to an extensive estate. You can always find a quiet spot by one of the four lakes ideal also for fishing and boating. The stone faced outbuildings house the restaurant and bar. Regarded by many as one of the best campsites in the Vendée, there is a lot of repeat business and the customers are mostly English and Dutch. The general feeling of spaciousness is a big plus and the staff are always very helpful and efficient. There are now separate cycle and pedestrian routes linking all the main services.

All buildings and activities except the lakes have been adapted for the disabled including an automatic hoist at the swimming pool and headphones for the hard of hearing in the reception. The site is running a shuttle bus service to Bretignolles-sur-Mer twice a week for a small charge. *Clef Verte* Label Tourisme et Handicap. The site has recently been awarded the European Eco-label.
