Grapevine Campground is a primitive camping area located along the banks of the Chauga River in the Andrew Pickens Ranger District of Sumter National Forest. The Chauga River is one of the popular fishing streams on the district, offering anglers opportunities to catch trout and other species in a scenic mountain setting. The campground provides basic amenities including fire rings and lantern posts at each site, along with a vault toilet facility. This free campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Campers must be self-sufficient as there is no potable water available on-site; water must be filtered or treated from the nearby river.
