About this campground
Smørdal Hytteutleide and Camping is beautifully located in Hjelmelandsdalen, 8 km from the center of Nordfjordeid. This is a child-friendly family campsite that is in use in summer and winter. Possibility of swimming in the river at the campsite in the summer. Playground for the little ones. Trout fishing in mountain lakes and small trout in the river. Nice hiking terrain in the mountains. 200 meters away is the Harpefossen Ski Centre, which has a great alpine resort with 3 lifts and illuminated slopes. A lift for downhill bikes in the summer. Salmon fishing in Eidselva (11 km) and in Eidsfjorden (5 km).

The historic road from Hjelmelandsdalen over Brekka to Bjørkedalen passes the Campingplassen. The space is constantly being developed where former cabins without toilet and shower are replaced with new insulated cabins with this installed on each individual cabin. Get in touch to find out what is available. There is a sanitary facility on the site adjacent to the office/common room building. This contains a toilet and shower for ladies and gents as well as a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
