Surrounded by forests, lakes, rivers and waterfalls, this is a site that will surprise you for the beauty of its natural environment. A small crystal clear stream winds through the site, much to the joy of children – and they love the outdoor pool too! If you’re fond of water sports, you’ll appreciate the nearby lakes in Gérardmer and Xonrupt Longemer only 10 kms away.

And for hiking, family walks and mountain biking, Le Clos de la Chaume has long been a popular centre from which to explore the Vosges Regional Country Park, Alsace and Lorraine. There is a range of accommodation available – flat grassy pitches in the shade, some of them with direct access to the stream, or chalet and mobile home rental for 2 to 6 people with timber decks. At Le Clos de la Chaume, Colin Wood’s family offers the extra touches that make a holiday great – WiFi, bread and croissants, ice creams, drinks, pizzas, washing machines etc. Numerous activities on site: outdoor pool, volleyball court, boules pitch, table tennis, children’s playgrounds, games room etc. The village of Corcieux just 500 metres from the site has all the usual neighbourhood services and shops.
