About this campground
Welcome to Aekenmatt Our camp is located at a farm near the main road Bern – Schwarzenburg and yet quiet with a clear view into the green. We are located in the recreation area «Naturpark Gantrisch». Our area has a lot to offer: in just 15 minutes you can reach the two rivers Sense and Schwarzwasser. A nature reserve with free flowing waters, many shaded areas in the forest as well as sand and gravel banks – an idyll that invites you to swim, barbecue and linger. From our camp you can also take wonderful hikes and bike excursions into the hilly surroundings.

The railway station «Schwarzwasserbrücke» can be reached in less than ten minutes on foot, with regular connections to Bern and Schwarzenburg. Thus, you can also enjoy plenty of excursion possibilities in bad weather. On the camp there is a fire bowl, barbecue rust and firewood. Also a table with benches for a cozy dinner under open sky or a breakfast at sunrise is available to you.
