This is a quiet site, kept to a high standard of cleanliness and constantly maintained. CCTV is in operation around the entrance together with a gate which is locked at night for security, signs are in place for 5MPH for children's safety. The surrounding countryside offers visitors numerous places of interest for all the family: - Birdwatching - at Bempton, Flamborough and Ravenscar. Walking - on coastal footpaths, the rolling chalklands of the Wolds, the North York Moors National Park, the Dalby Forest, the Cleveland Way, Lyke Wake Walk and Wolds Way to name a few. Cycling - Saxdale House Farm stands on one of the several designated cycle ways within the area. Also visit the many cycle tracks within the Dalby Forest. Golf- the village has its own 9-hole golf course literally 2 minutes from the farm. We hope you enjoy your stay.CaravanningThere is a choice of caravan pitches, subject to availability, these are either individual and privately screened with conifer hedging or ones with more extensive views of the countryside. All pitches have 16 amp electric hook-ups and ample space is allocated to each. There is plenty of room on the pitch for awnings (although electric/gas fires are not allowed in awnings as it destroys the grass). Elsan disposal and drinking water points are close by as well as refurbished shower/toilet block and site shop. (Please click on facilities page for further details). Children and dogs are welcome. Dogs must be on a lead at all times whilst on site although there is an area of land off-site where dogs can be exercised off their lead. Dogs must not be left on site unattended. Pitches are available from 12.00 midday and must be vacated by 12.00 midday on the day of departure. Tariffs: - Caravans/Motorhomes: - £14.00 per unit per night including electricity. There is also a non-food area supplying items such as tent pegs, guy line and chemicals for all your camping needs. Within the shop we have a lending library, donations to the RNLI, and tourist information sheets. We ask our customers to pay within shop hours, opening at 9.00am and closing at different times depending on the season. These times are displayed on a notice board near the toilet block. Shower/Toilet BlockBoth the ladies and gents toilet/shower blocks have thermostatic showers costing 50p for ten minutes of hot water, hand driers and the ladies also have a hairdryer! They are cleaned at numerous times during the day and are always available, even during cleaning times.BungalowSituated in Sands Lane, Hunmanby, a short walking distance to the village shops, golf course and a range of places to eat. Consisting of two bedrooms: Bedroom one has a double bed with memory foam mattress for ultra comfort, large wardrobes and dressing table, a hairdryer is also provided for our guests. Bedroom two has a Stompa high sleeper single bed with a small double underneath and large chest of drawers.
