Sample Meadow Campground is a rustic, no-fee campground located along Kaiser Creek in the Sierra National Forest, near the Kaiser and Ansel Adams Wilderness areas. The campground features 16 first-come-first-served sites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear box for food storage. Vault toilets are provided, but campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash as no services are available. The campground serves as a gateway to wilderness hiking, with trailhead parking located approximately 0.5 miles from the campground. Horse camping is permitted, making it popular with equestrian users.

The area experiences light use compared to other Sierra National Forest campgrounds. Access is via Kaiser Pass Road, a narrow, winding mountain road not recommended for large RVs or motorhomes. The campground operates seasonally, typically from late May through mid-November, depending on snow conditions. Kaiser Pass Road is closed to vehicular traffic during winter months.
