About this campground
In Herøy you will find many gems, and one of them you will find at Herøy Kystcamp in Leinevika. Rorbu holiday here is an experience of its own. Rorbuda is on the 2nd floor of an old sea tender that has been restored. With the ocean and the Sunnmøre Alps as its closest neighbours, Herøy Kystcamp is an excellent starting point for outdoor activities on Sunnmøre. Here you have all the possibilities to fish in the sea and hike in the mountains. Out in the sea gap you will find the bird island Runde. During the breeding season, from April to August, around 500,000 birds live and breed at Runde. Runde is the only large bird mountain in southern Norway, and is an excellent hiking destination.

We hope you find our place interesting to visit. Herøy Kystcamp is a cozy place to be. We offer accommodation in the rorbuda, on the second floor. Bathroom/wc, kitchen and living room, cozy patio with furniture. On the main floor, we have a maritime and cozy living room, as well as a laundry room and sanitary facilities. It is possible to hire a boat if you want to go out and try the fishing hatch. On good days you can also rent a kayak or canoe. The area offers a beautiful experience for kayakers. It is also not far to the bird island Runde, or other beautiful natural areas and mountains that are well worth exploring once you are in the area. Feel free to ask us for tips for excursions, we are happy to share our experiences. Should you be tempted by indoor activities, we have the great bathing facility Sunnmørsbadet a couple of kilometers away.
