Rim Lake Shelter is a backcountry Adirondack shelter located in the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Adirondack shelters are three-sided structures that provide basic protection from wind and weather while maintaining an open-air camping experience. The shelter is situated in the western unit of the Hiawatha National Forest in Schoolcraft County, an area known for its pristine forests and abundant inland lakes. The Hiawatha National Forest encompasses nearly 900,000 acres across Michigan's Upper Peninsula, offering visitors access to remote wilderness areas, excellent fishing opportunities, and miles of trails.
