About this campground
In a landscape characterized by many green zones, rivers and lakes at the edge of one of the largest limestone quarries in Central Europe and yet located directly on the eastern Berlin city border, there is – idyllic and exciting at the same time – Rüdersdorf. The place has something very special – limestone. Since the 13th century, Rüdersdorf lime, limestone and cement has been a sought-after building material for cities, monasteries and churches, royal residences and fortresses. Without limestone from Rüdersdorf, Berlin – as we know it today – would also be unthinkable. The museum park with its imposing and historic architectural monuments invites you to interesting walks or an exciting jeep tour along the active open-cast building. The parking space is located directly at the museum park!
