Stellplatz Beim Amphitheater

It is a large meadow directly behind the Amphitheater Dodoni. In the meadow leads a gravel path, so that even large campers have no problem. 50 meters in front of the pitch there is a fresh water tap. A visit to the UNESCO awarded excavation site with an impressive amphitheatre is a "must" (open between 8 – 15 o'clock). Up to 18,000 spectators were able to follow the competition here; in the Roman period mainly animal fights between bulls and boars took place. Also the surrounding area invites to walks: in particular the small villages are very nice and one believes to be in Ticino. At the entrance to the excavation site there is also a tavern, where one can eat very urig (but unfortunately it does not always have on). The entrance is not 500 meters away from the pitch.
