About this campground
Overview A family friendly secluded site, surrounded by gardens woodland walk, and Biological Heritage Site. Home-grown produce is on sale in season plus jams, jellies and chutney, free range eggs, firewood etc. A mile and a quarter from the village, where you can find a Boothes supermarket and fishbar. There is a also a gymnasium, sports bar and a steak house. If you enjoy birds and wildlife there is the second largest RSPB in Europe just over a mile from us; there are many public footpaths and woodland for pleasant walks. Martin Mere, Wetland Trust, animal farm 5 miles away. There is a light railway, children and adults alike will love this, steam trains run most Sundays.

The Victorian seaside town of Southport six miles, here you can enjoy numerous events, flower show, airshow and spectacular firework display. The city of Preston is ten miles away, with markets, shopping and shows at the Guild Hall. This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more.
