Portage Lake Campground — Waterloo Recreation Area

Overall, this campsite offers a pleasant experience with beautiful scenery and well-sized lots that provide ample space and tree cover. Campers appreciate the paved sites, which make setup easy, and the availability of fire pits and picnic tables enhances the outdoor experience. However, some facilities may be closed during the off-season, and the proximity of sites can be a concern for those seeking privacy. Despite occasional power outages following storms, the tranquil atmosphere and access to lake activities make it a worthwhile destination.
