Even in the peak of summer you can have the place to yourselves.Mewslade is accessible from the campsite via a footpath across the fields, a walk of about 20 minutes or so and well worth the effort a quiet undeveloped beach with lots of sand and rock pools when the tide is out and a real suntrap. Mewslade has a carparking area at nearby Pitton Farm some half mile from the beach, and like its neighbours Fall Bay and Ramsgrove are only accessible on foot.Port-Eynon ( pronounced Port- eye non) together with adjoining Horton is one of Gower’s more popular beaches mainly due to easier access( about 10 minutes in the car or local bus service) the village being next to the beach with plenty of parking. Village amenities include, café’s a couple of chip shops, take- aways, gift and souvenir shops the Ship Inn and camping and caravan sites. The beach is favoured by wind surfers and is home to a local boat club as well as being a popular bathing beach.Picturesque Three Cliffs Bay at the sea ward end of a wooded valley complete with castle, sand dunes and stepping stones over the stream is probably one of Gower’s best known and most photographed beaches, popular with bathers, water sport enthusiasts and the rock climbers who cling precariously to the steep cliffs the over looking part of the bay.Oxwich is another easy access bay popular with boat owners, and with its sheltered position a haven for wind surfers, waters ski-ing sailing and snorkelling.
