About this campground
Peck Gulch Campground is located on the shores of Lake Koocanusa in the Kootenai National Forest, 21 miles southwest of Eureka off Highway 37. The campground features 22 sites including one host site, with tables, fire rings, and some tent pads, accommodating RVs up to 32 feet. Situated at 2,713 feet elevation in an open, non-forested area, the campground offers spectacular views of the 90-mile-long reservoir created by Libby Dam. The campground provides vault toilets and a fully developed boat launch with dock, making it popular for water activities.

Lake Koocanusa is renowned for excellent fishing, with a stable population of Kokanee salmon, Kamloops (rainbow) trout, bull trout, westslope cutthroat trout, and burbot. Access to the campground is via a narrow, steep paved road; pilot vehicles are recommended for overlength units. The area attracts numerous visitors from neighboring states and offers a 16-day stay limit.
