Welcome to Park House, where stunning scenery and breathtaking waterfalls provide the backdrop to our luxurious Bunkbarn, authentic Mongolian Yurts and beautiful riverside campsite, right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.The Scenery here is so spectacular that the 2014 Tour de France has a Yorkshire Dales stage which will take the cyclists with 2 miles of our site. Why not challenge yourself to complete the 190KM stage ahead of the athletes.

As we are located just 2 miles off the route, come and stay with us in our luxury Bunk Barn or one of our comfortable Yurts, both which offer secure bike storage.Whether you’re looking for a walking break with friends and family, a stopover on one of the many walking and cycling routes which pass through Keld, or just a countryside retreat where you can relax and get away from it all, you’ll find it here.We offer a range of accommodation, designed to suit all budgets, but no matter what you choose, you’re assured a very warm welcome and excellent service throughout your stay.We specialise in providing accommodation for groups and individuals who are following the popular walking routes which pass through Keld, including the Coast to Coast, Pennine Way and the Herriot Way. We work closely with the Sherpa Van and Packhorse for bag deliveries and also provide a professional boot drying service, washing and drying facilities and home cooked breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals. We also offer the whole site for hire, perfect for wedding receptions, birthdays, and team building events, or for any occassion where you want affordable group accomodation in a stunning location. We are delighted to have been awarded a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, in recognition of our 5 star ratings from independent guest reviews in 2012 and 2013.Luxury YurtsWhether you're celebrating reaching the half way point on the coast to coast, or just fancy a night of luxury camping in the Yorkshire Dales, why not treat yourself to an unforgettable night in one of our luxury Yurts.Yurt is Russian for ‘Dwelling’ and is a nomadic shelter lived in for thousands of years by tribes in Mongolia. Our Yurts are 100% genuine and were manufactured and shipped from Mongolia to be with us in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. In 2012 we received excellent feedback from all of our guests along with 5 star Tripadvisor ratings and due to popular demand we will be installing a second Yurt which will be available from the 1st March 2013. Our Yurts are luxury 19ft tents with locking front doors, wood burning stoves, real beds, sofas and their own private dining area.In 2013 we will have 2 Yurts, and each is available for just £49 for 2 people per night (plus £15 per extra person).Each Yurt comfortably sleeps 2-4 people on 2 single beds and a double sofa bed.All bedding, linen and towels are provided.Electric hook ups available for just £5 per night.Lanterns candles and torches are all provided, along with a selection of books and games for your enjoyment.Tea and coffee making facilities.We offer a range of delicious home cooked evening meals, served to you in your Yurt. See a sample menu. Pre booking is not required, you can just choose from the menu when you arrive, however we ask that orders are placed before 6pm so if you’re going to arrive late than just let us know beforehand and we’ll do our best to ensure that we have something ready for your arrival.We also have a drinks license and stock a range of wines, beers and ales. If you fancy a meal out, there is a pub and restaurant just a 5 minute walk away in Keld or there are a number of lovely pubs in local villages serving food which are just a short drive away.Hot breakfast baguettes with a mug of tea or coffee are available each morning for just £3, brought to your door at a time to suit you.Packed lunches are available daily.The Yurts have use of the 2 modern and clean campsite bathrooms one of which has a hairdryer. Our small family run site is designed to offer a quiet relaxing environment for our guests, so if you’re looking for a site where you can play music or make noise late into the night which may disturb others then this definitely is not the site for you. Many of our campers are serious walkers, sleeping and rising early so if others can hear you after 10pm it’s important to let you know that that’s not ok here. If on the other hand, you want to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside with likeminded guests, then we’re sure you’ll love our site and the facilities which we have to offer. In the summer the deep clear waters make this a popular swimming hole and a great spot for a picnic at any time of year. Local WalksOne of the best ways to explore Swaledale and its spectacular scenery is on foot, and we are happy to provide our guests with route maps for the many circular walks which start from Park House, ranging from 2-12 miles. These include the Keld loop, the Muker circular and the Ravenseat round, plus we also have maps which can take you to Gunnerside or Reeth along with a bus timetable to get you back (the bus stops right outside of our gate) if you prefer not having to retrace your steps.Local AttractionsTann HillWe are just 4 miles from the famous Tann Hill Inn, which at 1,732ft above sea level is the highest pub in Great Britain. www.tanhillinn.co.ukThe Wensleydale CreameryWe highly recommend a trip to Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes where they handcraft cheese to time honoured recipes. You can also visit the National Park visitors centre and close to Hawes is Hardraw Force, England's highest single-drop waterfall.Kirkby StephenJust a 25 minute drive away is Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria’s upper Eden valley. It’s a traditional market town of historic buildings, cobbled yards, quaint corners and interesting shops and also has a station where you could board the train on the famous Carlisle to Settle railway line. Barnard CastleJust a 35 minute drive away is Barnard Castle, a lively and bustling market town, with regular markets, speciality shops, restaurants, bars and tea rooms. The town is steeped in history and you can take a tour of the castle or take a trip to the widely acclaimed Bowes museum.RichmondA little further afield and just a 45 minute drive will take you to Richmond, a beautiful market town, with Norman castle, Georgian architecture, cobbled market place, monuments and abbeys.
