Our park follows the same pattern - we've carefully preserved all the features that give you that back-to-nature feeling, yet we've also discreetly added the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. We have a heated outdoor pool and paddling pool (children must be accompanied at all times), a play area, spotlessly clean toilet facilities including hot showers and spin dryers. In keeping with our quiet country atmosphere, we don't have a clubhouse or a shop, but close by there's a mini-market which caters for your food needs at reasonable prices. On site amenities. We have a full selection of amenities on site including a large heated swimming pool (children under 17 must be accompanied at all times), showers and toilets, washing up facilities & laundry room. We accept tents & trailer tents. (Sorry, no caravans or motor homes) Charcoal barbeques only, no open fires, grassy, flat and sloping pitches available, sorry, no pets.Things to do. The beach is just a 10 minute walk away and makes fo the perfect family playground - the sand is clean and gently sloping into the sea - you can even learn to windsurf or waterski. There is a large carpark adjacent to the beach and a slipway for boat launches. Walking is popular with our guests and there are plenty of nature walks around the Gower coastline. There is also a bird-watching tower overlooking the Oxwich marshes. The village of Oxwich has a licensed hotel and resturant, a 12th century church and a 14th century castle. For the more adventurous, the Gower is a well regarded area for wind surfing and rock climbing. Should you feel the need for a break from the great outdoors, just a bus ride away is the city of Swansea with a waterfront museum, shopping malls, resturants, leisure centres etc.DirectionsBy car:Take the A4118 west from Swansea for approx 10 miles via Killay, Fairwood, Parkmill, Penmaen and Nicholaston. After passing through Nicholaston, turn left at the signpost for Oxwich and down the hill along the road past the nature reserve for 1 mile. At the crossroads in the village, turn right and we are about 500 yards on the right. By bus:The Gower Explorer #117 runs every two hours from Swansea to Oxwich cross (2mins walk from the site) and will usually stop right outside the campsite if you ask nicely.
